Okie move on… went to learn solidworks in just one day which was yesterday.. amazing huh..not all of the function of course, just on the part how to do engineering drawing and dimensioning that’s all.. as today i have to hand in the engineering drawing for manufacturing subject's submission. Thanks to Yoonjae for his teaching.. This reminded me on how I learned Rhinoceros 2D drawing. Learned it in one day as well, the day before VI submission in year 2..Haha.. History repeated ar.

Anyway I got enough of using rhino to do product for manufacturing. Creating all the internal parts wall thickness, draft angle using rhinoceros is really killing me.. And looking again on how people can just easily do all that in solidworks, it was like just one click away la…
Seriously as an industrial designer, Rhinocerous is definetly NOT enough..Gotta some back up of other more engineering software like solidworks, pro-e, auto-cad like that…

I seriously hope that the next semester would be a better semester, as it looks and sounds fine to me as for now. It has more interesting subject, and I know more how things work here… So.. really hope next semester I will like uni much more than now.
Anyway lets move on from those serious subject...

Sometimes I really wonder why am I going to uni/school or wadever u call it.. If you expect me to know everything already, why should I even bother coming to uni. Instead I can just go out to the society and work already. Or maybe yeah they expect me to know everything and anything since I am in third year and graduating soon and will go out to working field soon….. and so on.. (that’s the reasoning they gave) Again this is really annoying about the third year third year thingy!!!

Anyway, I guess uni has pretty much different meaning for everyone and anyone out there. As for me why do I want to come to uni in the first place, it’s because I am not confident enough to go out there to work at that point of time and so when the working option is out, move on to the second option which is study ( Yeap, I really like to continue being a student before I came here). So here I am in uni which not forgetting I am also here to learn more and polish my skill and meet new people~.

Or maybe should I say. After a few months in uni, I feel that uni is such a waste of time, I would rather go out there work and gain experience and learn at the same time.. and get paid as well rather than spending money to come to uni..

However overall uni is not THAT bad.. considering that i will get a degree certificate once I graduate.. yea.. such a high price to BUY that degree certificate huh…

Mmmm… I am getting very contradicting eh..?

Now I feel that it would be better to go out there work first after poly.. unless if i would want to try other course or get into different field.. That would be another story..

This happen when uni life is getting more and more not interesting. Unlike back then in poly, where poly become the second home of my.. spending almost all the time in school, all the late night stay, hiding from the security, have fun, gathering in studio, do some stupid and crazy stuff..

But look at here.. Uni is about letting the lecturer know about our progress, consultation, presentation, submission. So when there is none of things that I mention is happening but there is class on that day.. yeah that’s when I start to ask myself… why am I here today..?? … Ugh.. I forget to mention… attendance…yeah.. that’s right.. I come to mark attendance!!

Prepay recharging (top-up) can be very tricky in a way. Imagine that it took me a few months till I get it right. So here goes the story…

First time - Brought the Voda-phone prepay sim card at airport on the day I reached here. Prepay recharge here expires in one month.

Second times – A few days before the recharge expired, I went to 7/11 to get a new recharge, which is $29 recharge that gives me $150 balance inside. I was thinking it would be better to buy beforehand, rather than last minute. But, eventually things don’t work in that way, the recharge actually starts counting by the day I brought it.
So lesson learnt, not to be so kanchiong, shall just buy the recharge on the day it expires.

Third times – was thinking to get cheaper recharge, as I can’t finish the $150 balance. So I requested for the cheapest recharge amount which is $20. At that point of time I have no idea that the $20 recharge gives me only $20 balance inside.
Imagine that the whole month I was like trying not to use my phone and surviving on $20 balance. Because I don’t want to recharge twice in a month. But eventually, the $20 balance finish in one and half week time..
Lesson learnt, get enough information first before act.

So…….. Finally fourth times, yesterday - went to buy the $29 recharge.. No choice, handphone need the $$ to survive..

- ~~Buy groceries for the week - don’t know when~~
- ~~Finish financial part and personal management profile for business strategy – by Tuesday~~
- Attend the Wednesday system and service lecture. I heard they start marking attendance >,<
- Do detail exploded view, electronic research and manufacturing consideration for studio project – by Wednesday
- Think of solution on how to hold the battery in place and increase some wall thickness to 2 mm on my bicycle light. Paint the resin on the Rp-ed model as well– by Thursday.
- More research and possible solution on the egg industry in Australia – by Friday
- CIC assignment resume and cover letter- by Friday
- Apply for 2009 accommodation
- Sent out all letters
- Buy a radio

Many many things to do..

Thought of some summer plan as well..
- Find a cheaper accommodation. Was thinking of renting a caravan. Wouldn’t it be more fun to live in there!! Hahas.. But after lots of thought, decided to drop that crazy idea
- Find a job or two to keep me occupy during the 2+ months holiday.
- Travel around Australia
- Attend summer lesson if there is any
- Learn solidworks
- To grow fatter
